Make your own rules in the Illusion Upcycled Mesh One Piece, featuring a classic silhouette in a weightless nylon mesh with a cheeky back. We ventured out to the factories and fabric shops in Bali to source quality deadstock fabrics to be repurposed into our swim. Our first upcycled design features a smooth, ultra-stretchy nylon mesh in two prints that embody the natural beauty of the sea and the sky. A must-have suit to wear on its own or as a layering piece.
- Upcycled fabric: Hand selected overstock fabric from factories in Bali that would have otherwise gone to waste.
- Versatile Design: A classic silhouette that can be worn as a swimsuit, bodysuit, or layering piece, with adjustable straps.

Lightweight Comfort: Weightless nylon mesh fabric provides breathability and light support. *Please note this piece is unlined, with double mesh fabric. Although the prints provide opacity to make it non-see-through, there could still be some sheerness depending on the print placement.

Our sizing generally runs true to size, meaning if you are a certain size in a comparable brand, you are likely to be the same size in our brand. Keep in mind that our styles are designed to be on the smaller side. Be sure to read the product description for any specific sizing details.

Expert sizing tips:
- Many of our styles are adjustable with tie closures. If you prefer more coverage, you can always order a larger size and tie it tighter!
- Consider the activities you'll be doing in the suit. You'll probably want a more snug fit for a higher level of activity.
- Less coverage can be more flattering!

Are the materials sustainable?
The short answer is NO.
We refuse to be one of the many brands who claim their swimwear is "sustainable," because in reality it's not...
Since our founding, we are proud to partner with Aquafil in Italy to create swimwear made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon from pre- and post-consumer plastic waste, along with REPREVE® and other natural and eco-conscious fabrics. This reduces plastic pollution and alleviates climate impacts compared to traditional oil-based nylon production.
However, this process still uses fossil-based additives. The dyeing process, like with traditional nylon, often involves toxic substances harmful to humans and the environment.
Although nylon regeneration is in theory a closed-loop system (which means the material can be recycled infinitely) unfortunately, most garments made with ECONYL®, REPREVE®, and other recycled nylons ultimately end up in landfills.
While using recycled and sustainable materials is a great start, we take it further by considering the entire lifecycle of our products—how they’re made, where the energy to make them comes from, who is making them, and whether the organizations involved are locally- or foreign-owned. We work exclusively with reputable small, locally-owned factories with whom we have a personal relationship with to ensure conscious production at every stage.
